Abstract:
The thesis will provide uselul insight to the reader regarding the compensation and retention
practices in one ol the leading companies in the Oil and gas sector i.e. Pakistan Petroleum
Limited. The thesis will serve as a tool comprising of information related to the background of the
research topic, the problem chosen to be researched on and how important is tliis study to
understand the compensation and retention practices at die organization. Though during die
course of diis study the researcher has come across certain limitadons.
The second chapter unfolds the design diat have been chosen to carry on die research. This
comprises of all the necessary information regarding die mediods of research design, respondents,
instruments that have been chosen to gather information which primarily include interviews and
questionnaires.
The third chapter refers to the literary pieces of work from audiors around the globe who have
contributed to die study of compensation and retention polices at oil and gas industry and die
researcher feels diat diere are still certain areas diat can be addressed for carrying out future
studies.
Moving on fourth chapter is about the presentation of the data gadiered which is demonstrated in
pictorial forms which includes graphs, pie and bar' charts.
Towards the end researcher has summed up all the findings revealed during die research process
and has come up widi her own recommendations and solutions to die problem and to summarize
all the information finally the research has been concluded.
