Key Word Spotting based Video Retrieval System using Urdu Text as Index

Abstract

In Pakistan, most of the news channels display news in news bar in Urdu language. They are displayed in multiple bars on the screen which makes it difficult for viewers to read multiple news bars and watch the video along with it. So our project will help people to search news videos displayed on TV screens by Urdu word image matching and retrieval of frames.It can also works for those people who were interested in searching for previous records. So, this paper presents an approach for video searching from archives and automated video indexing. It will be done by matching the Urdu word image in news bar by taking Urdu word image as input and providing the video displayed along with that news in news bar as output. This will be done by Key word spotting and videos will be retrieved using Urdu image as index. By taking Urdu word image as input, matching video frames will be retrieved then their video will be retrieved which was played with that particular news frame.
