Abstract:
The following research is conducted with the intention to know about whether laptops can
replace the desktop computers in the organizations working in Pakistan and the reasons of why
organizations are not talking steps to replace desktop with stylish laptops.
This thesis focused on the insight of the organizations and their plan to shift towards laptop
usage in organization or not. This study will help the reader to know about the feasibility of the
laptop usage in the organization and their pros and cons with organizational perspective so that
of any organization want to replace desktop computers by laptops they can read the topic and
assist themselves with the precautions. Thus the study will also be of significant value for the
organizations that uses desktop computers in their day to day operations.
Data was gathered from both primary and secondary sources. Secondary' data was collected from
employees of organizations using questionnaire comprising total 12 questions having both open
and closed ended questions.
The responses from questionnaire showed that the organizations in Pakistan are in comfort in
using desktops computer rather than using laptops, so there are less chance of the replacement of
desktop computers by the laptops in near future in organizations in Pakistan. So we accept our
null hypothesis that HA * Laptops will not replace desktop computers in Organizations in
Pakistan.
It is concluded that organizations that are traditional in nature use to prefer desktop computers as
they are safe, hard, rough for use, less change of thefl and best processors and capabilities to
work rather than laptops which are prefer at an organizations while have dynamic work
environment with the ethical employees and for their use portability is required. However, over
all desktops are considered to be safe for the working environment of Pakistan.
