Abstract:
Purpose: Foremost purpose of the writing of this paper was to highlight and discuss the
importance of career management practices and their impact on the job satisfaction of
employees in the banking sector of Pakistan. . In this research study, an effort has been
made to identify the relationship between career management and job satisfaction of
employees because it is one of the critical function of human resource management to
carry out the best in employees and developing them. So the purpose is to analyze
practices of career management in banking sector of Pakistan and find out how it leads
to job satisfaction of employees.
Methodology: This is an explanatory research based on quantitative data collected with
the help of a well-structured questionnaire. The primary data is being collected with the
help of questionnaires and interviews with employees and managers and secondary data
is being collectedfrom the sources of internet, articles and books The data was treated by
using statistical tool correlation and regression on software SPSS, to test the hypotheses.
The sample size for data collection is 300
Findings: After the testing of hypotheses the findings of this search concluded that
career planning and career development are important elements of career management
which can lead to career development of employee and a significant correlation was
found. There were some weaknesses in the career management practices so some
measures have been recommended. It was found out that the effective career management
programs not only play a significant role in the development of employees but making
them feel well-regarded and develops positive relationship.
Practical Implication: The conclusive discussion of this research study will help
Pakistani banks in managing its career management practices and viewing it as an asset
for future. There will be a clarification of the relationship among career management
and job satisfaction which is most important to perform better job and accomplishing
tasks extraordinarily
