Abstract:
The aim of this research study was to emphasize on the other side of “Working off the
clock”, which we ignore to see, authors and other managerial gurus believe that working
off the clock has only one impact and it is a negative impact on people and place.
However if working off the clock isn’t practiced then sub-contracting firms or enterprises
are unable to send their assigned quota on time and also that workers do work late hours
because they know that working late hours have monetary benefits involve.
For this research study 40 textile factories Social compliance auditing report was
observed. These factories social compliance auditing report showed that these
firms/enterprises were experiencing the working off the clock.
The data were analyzed using Minitab software which is a good statistical tool for these
kinds of observations, after the data input two statistical applications were applied in
order to know their relation. One was “Pearson’s Correlation” and other one was
“Regression Analysis”.
The result of these two statistical application showed that “Working off the clock do lead
to timely shipment” and also “Working off the clock do lead to workers commitment”.
Hence the two theories have been tested and gave positive results.
