Abstract:
Purpose- The main objective of this study is to analyze that to what extent non-monetary
incentives have impact on employees’ motivation.
Methodology/sample- The study involved use of questionnaires covering the all independent
variables and dependent variable filled by 300 lower level employees of three different public
sector organizations. The respondents belonged to different age groups, education level and
organization. To analyze the collected data descriptive methods, Regression and ANOVA
techniques were applied.
Findings- The findings of the study clearly indicated that the non-monetary incentives positively
influence employees’ motivation of public sector employees and make them to give their best
performance output.
Practical Implications- The outcomes of this research study indicated that human resource
manager of public sector organization must focus on non-monetary incentives. According to this
study non-monetary incentives are very useful tool for the motivation of lower level employees
of public sectors organization. This is the cheap way of keeping workforce highly motivated.
