“ROLE OF COMMERCIAL BANKS IN FACILITATING BENAZIR INCOME SUPPORT PROGRAMME “

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the Role of Commercial Banks in facilitating Benazir Income Support Programme. In this research what best thing researcher leamt that how Government Support to poor people of the society. It is wrong concept was developed and still people perceive from BISP project that these kinds of project keep society lazy by not doing job, however; this type of project does not mean that we finance you but the main concept of it’s how much we can support to poor people whom Income are less than Rs 6, 000, basically this is a financial support to those beneficiaries (Ladies) who can buy their necessary item/things such as sew machine or anything else from that they could start any Business from the support of Government Fund. This is an immense topic in itself. Hence the researcher will restrict itself and try to focus on the Role of Commercial Banks in facilitating Benazir Income Support Programme. Well, scope of commercial Bank is to facilitate the beneficiaries who are not aware of saving amount and keep beneficiaries used to of using Banks. During survey it was observed that 98% beneficiaries have agreed that this financial support make their life up to some extent easy because day to day increase of inflation has make them worried and they are displeased by the not receiving their installments timely and also had fear from Banks staff that how will they treat us because we are illiterate people and don’t know about the Banking concept, but now their minds have been changed and beneficiaries are fully satisfied from the services that Bank furnished them without charging any cost. The real beneficiaries of this project are poor people who couldn’t established their life due to inflation but this financial support has completely changed their lives because these project furnished them vocational training with financial support of Rs. 6,000. The best of waseela rozgar Project was beneficiary can nominate her son for vocational training, the training which are given to beneficiaries are computer, sewing, and technical training, cooking etc.
