Abstract:
Purpose
The most important tool for Human Resource Management is without question “Motivation”
and, every organization seeks to find the best motivator to make their employees effective. The
purpose of this paper is to identify the most effective motivators for fresh graduates keeping in
view the current motivational theories. Further to this the paper also seeks to establish whether

Methodology
The total sample considered of 152 respondents which were all students from Bahria University.
Questionnaire was selected as a research instrument and the same analyzed 13 motivational
factors.
Findings
It was found that the two common factors university students were good wages and interesting
work. On the other hand, the students of Bahria gave 3rd rank to well-being Growth and
promotion was also ranked in the top five the university’s respondents. Moreover the null
hypothesis that the mean ranking for motivational factors is significantly similar for those
individuals who have a job and who do not have a job was accepted based on the research
findings.
Practical implications
The research presented in this paper carries a few suggestions for managers and HR experts.
Then again, the outcomes could be translated from various ways according to diverse motivation
theories. Further, this study implies that extrinsic motivating factors should also be considered by
HR Managers.
