A total of 270 questionnaires were distributed out of which 244 were returned. Data of 223 questionnaires was used in the analysis. The data was analyzed using SPSS. Pearson correlation and ANOVA tests are used. Findings of the research: The findings advocate that the selected five stress creating factors have significant relationship with job satisfaction. Excessive workload and poor working relationship have strong negative impact on job satisfaction. Job insecurity and work life imbalance have weak negative impact on employee job satisfaction whereas lack of freedom has a moderate positive impact on employee job satisfaction and that the job satisfaction does not vary on the basis of work location in UBL. Practical implications of the research: The findings of this research can prove helpful for UBL to improve their policies and programs in order to increase employee job satisfaction. It can also serve as a future reference for researchers conducting research on factors of job stress particularly in banking sector of Pakistan. Similar studies can be conducted for other banks.
