EFFECTS OF OUTSOURCING LOGISTICS SERVICES ON PRODUCTIVITY OF FIRM

Abstract

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of outsourcing logistics services on productivity of firm. METHODOLOGY/SAMPLE For this purpose the author of this research sent structured questioner to the supply chain experts to collected data from different FMCG companies of Karachi. FINDINGS The author analyzed the data by using Factor and regression analysis and he found out that all variables have significant effect on productivity of a firm but warehousing is above in all as it has most effective for productivity of a firm. PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS The recommendations for the firms are they should improve their warehousing facility and should hire trained personnel. They should also conduct audits to their service providers’ facilities to ensure the desired level of services.
