Abstract:
Purpose
This study aims at finding out the impact of the change as a result of the merger of two
retailors, identifying various measures that were taken to ensure smooth implementation
of the change process and ultimately gauging the level of employee satisfaction.
Methodology/Sample
A survey was conducted through a questionnaire, followed by interviews with key
position holders. After obtaining views of employees, the data was analyzed by using the
software SPSS and useful results.
Findings
It has been found that the culture of Metro-Habib has improved after the merger and the
company has attained some of its objectives of merger.
Practical Implications
The conclusive discussion of this research study will help the readers regarding the
benefits of merger between the two competitors and the possibility of the profitable
outcomes of merger.
