dc.description.abstract For the majority of the people in Pakistan as well as many third world countries, the water available for daily usage is not always clean and safe enough for human usage and consumption. Our project aims to provide a reliable and real time monitoring system to detect the general quality of water based on its pH level to ensure that only that water is used which is neither too acidic nor too alkaline and can be safely used by humans. The system uses a pH sensor to monitor the pH level of the water in the tank that it is deployed into, and provides readings to a central server that maintains the pH level history and comparisons with readings from other similar sensors deployed in other areas. These readings can then be accessed through a desktop application with specific sensor data being available to tank owners through an android application. By providing such real time monitoring, our system can lead to better management of water with lesser health problems and financial losses. en_US
