IMPLEMENTATION OF 4 DISCIPLINES OF EXECUTION IN A PRIVATE SCHOOL

Abstract

Purpose- Major aim of this research was to study the impact of 4 Disciplines of Execution on successful execution of strategies in a private school. Usually more emphasis is laid on making strategies than on their successful execution. Methodology/Sample- The study involved use of questionnaires filled by 30 respondents. Data was collected though convenience sampling. As this research was related to one firm only, the population size was very small as there were 35 administrative personnel. The sample size of 30 was taken for this study. The construct used for the research were Prioritization, Accountability, Scheduling, Direction and Success of Execution. There was a resistance to change. Therefore the participants went through three training sessions and then they were asked to fill the questionnaire. Data was collected though self-administered questionnaire. There was a chance of misinterpretation which was reduced by pilot testing the questionnaire before finalizing it for data collection. Data was analyzed using regression and correlation. Findings- The analysis clearly shows that when there is accountability and a clear direction for the teams to move, they perform extraordinarily. Practical Implications- The outcomes of the research might help other organizations in ensuring the successful execution of the strategies. The school in which it was implemented achieved great results after the implementation of four Disciplines of Execution.
