Abstract:
Purpose: The thesis aim is to find out the role of ERP in Warehousing at the Shahnawaz (Pvt.) Ltd, the sole distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Pakistan.
Methodology: This research is of typically triangulation approach (combination of both qualitative and quantitative approaches) will be used incorporating descriptive study. Data will be gathered through primary source by selecting the criteria of 50 ERP users of related with warehouse were interviewed through a survey for collecting the responses. The results of regression analysis are done after the factorization of questions asked to the respondent. The questions are factorized to reduce the data.
Findings: The findings from the research show that after implementation of ERP at Shanawaz has duly changed the processes. The company processes have become efficient in reference to managing inventory’s demand and forecast planning. Furthermore the most important advantage that after implementation of ERP at Shahnawaz is that data visibility became more efficient.
Practical Implication: The research concluded that the main aim of implementing ERP is to enhanced the processes and efficiency whereas, an ERP benefits in reference to increase in Warehousing Performance at Shahnawaz (Pvt.)Ltd is dependent upon enterprise resource planning (ERP). ERP implementation will help company in future for better Planning and decision making, Process improvement, Inventory Management, departmental integration and
system’s automation.
