| dc.description.abstract | Purpose of the study: Aim of this study is to find out the impact of end user resistance over successful ERP implementation among internet service providers (ISP) in Karachi. For this purpose data is collected from some renowned ISPs in Karachi who are going to implement ERP in their organizations. Research method/sampling: Research approach for this research is deductive approach; five variables are formulated to identify the impact of dependent variable (successful ERP implementation) on independent variable (end user resistance). Nature of this research is quantitative i.e. data is collected with the help of Likert scale questionnaire. Stratified sampling technique is used to collect data on the basis of IT literate personnel. Findings of the research: Hypothesis regarding impact of job insecurity over successful ERP implementation was rejected. Other four hypotheses i.e. impact of (lack of training, lack of communication, end user expectation and change in job content) over successful ERP implementation was found significant. Practical implications of the research: Findings of this research show that there is a significant impact of variables of end user resistance over successful ERP implementation except job insecurity in ISPs of Karachi. Management should take care of proper training programs and proper communication channels. They should also take care of end user expectations about ERP system and should try to minimize the differences between expectation and reality. Change in job content can be a big hurdle for successful ERP implementation in ISPs of Karachi so management should have plans to cope up with this issue | en_US |
