PRACTICES OF SUPPLY CHAIN IN COURIER INDUSTRIES OF PAKISTAN

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To assess the practices of supply chain management in two courier companies of Pakistan METHODOLOGY/SAMPLE The study involved use of questionnaires filled by 40 respondents from two courier companies of Pakistan i.e. OCS and TCS analysis. The respondent belonged to different department of company’s i.e warehousing, procurement and sourcing. Descriptive statistics’, Correlation test, and T-test were applied to analyze the data. FINDINGS The results dearly suggested that there is a strong and significant correlation betM'een variables and supply chain management. I found the significant effect of variables on supply chain management but IT is above in all as it has most significant on supply chain management. PRA CTICALIMPLICA TIONS The recommendations for the companies that, they should improve their supply chain practices based upon strong IT infrastructure and should also conduct training to train their employees in order to improve their services
