AWARENESS OF INFORMATION SECURITY AMONG STUDENTS

Abstract

With the evolution of hardware and software that are affordable enough the focus drifted from the protection ofcomputers processing information to information itself. This paper highlights the need for Information Security Awareness educational programs to make the roots of students stronger in terms of grasping the tactics of cyber-attacks. One should be aware ofthat your data is the most valuable asset. The challenges oftoday include the threats and security breaches while letting the information communicating unknowingly. This research examines the model ofinformation security adapted from the Parkerian Hexad Model to further find out components that are actually affecting the mind sets of people. It is commonly observed that lacking of information protection leads to vulnerable effects. While the human are not aware that they are being attacked. The approach is the usage of all the previous work done on this model and further transforming into suggestions that will well answer today’s challenges of information security.
