Quality Assurance Cell (QAC) Automation System (P-0518) (MFN 2803)

Abstract

Bahria University today is a multi-campus university with its headquarters at Islamabad. The constituent units of the university are spread at Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. These include the Pakistan Naval Academy Karachi, PN War College Lahore, Bahria Institutes of Management and Computer Sciences at Karachi and Islamabad, the Institute of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Islamabad, the Institute of Professional Psychology at PNS SHIFA Karachi and Bahria Colleges at Karachi and Islamabad. Bahria University Islambad has a QAC cell that checks the teacher’s performance. The problem with the Quality Assurance Cell is that with the current system if QAC wants to evaluate or check a teacher performance they have to go through their folder manually which time is consuming. And also it is difficult for QAC members to keep track teacher performance on daily basis. The information that is provided by the teacher in the folder is not verified by the students or CR of the class. The Higher Authorities cannot check the performance of the teacher because it is not possible for them to check the folders manually. The QAC Automation System provides teachers to maintain their folder online. Each teacher will be provided their own Login Password to make their information secured. This system will maintain the quizzes, assignments and result lists of the students automatically. It also maintain the daily activities like attendance,course cover, uploading notes, giving comments and daily notifications etc. It also facilitates the CR and students to check the information updated by the teacher of a particular class. QAC will see or check the daily activities of all the teachers. The major benefit of this system is that QAC will get evaluation of the teachers automatically. It also provides opportunity to Higher Authorities (H.O.D) to check the performance of the teacher.
