dc.description.abstract Four seismic lines of Sinjhoro exploration lease block in Southern Indus Basin, Pakistan are used for delineation of sub-surface structures. Four through going reflectors were marked. Horizons were identified via well top data provided by the examiner, these were Pirkoh, Sui Main Limestone, Top Lower Goru and Chiltan respectively. On the basis of discontinuity in those reflectors, various faults are identified. The interpretation of the seismic data lid to the identification of 5 faults. Majority of the faults showed same trend of dip i.e. from northwest to northeast. Some faults such as F4 and F5 are forming half horst/graben. The outcome of the study indicates that the area is developed under the extensional stress regime that is evident by the presence of normal faults. The current study is concentrated on the Top Lower Goru and Chiltan Formation. The TWT structural contour map shows that the Chiltan`s minimum contour value is 2510 ms and maximum time contour value is 2590 ms. This corresponds with the depth values of 4283 m and 4431 m respectively. Top Lower Goru minimum contour value is 1650 ms and maximum time contour value is 1710 ms with 2282 m and 2408 m depths respectively. The discontinuities led to the formation of various traps in the study area. Most of the traps are fault bounded structural traps. Highs were marked as the prospective zones. en_US
