| dc.description.abstract | The present study pertains to the modeling of the productive zones from seismic and well log data. This was carried out by using seismic lines, 994-GNA-10, 994-GNA-11, 994-GNA-16, 994-GNA-20and well log data of Missa Keswal-04 provided by the Directorate General of Petroleum Concession. The area is important for its hydrocarbon (Oil & gas) structural traps. Missa Keswal Oil field is located at the distance of 60 Kms in the South-East of Islamabad. Missa Keswal Oil field is in the Chakwal District of Pakistan. This is one of the most active oil and gas production regions. The field was discovered in June 1991 and came on regular production from December 1992. The area is a part of Potwar sub-basin. ABSTRACT During the study of Seismic sections first of all we pick prominent reflectors from the seismic sections. During the interpretation of present study area, four reflectors were marked at different time Horizon A, Horizon B, Horizon C and Horizon D then we have noted the two way travel time of each reflector against the shot point. Moreover we have done preparation of time and depth contour map of Chorgali formation on the base map. Formula used for the conversion of time into depth is given below: S = V*T/2 In Petrophysical studies first of all we identify Reservoir zones and determine Reservoir parameters that are Volume of Shale, Porosity (RHOB values and NΦ or Sonic readings), Resistivity of Water, Water Saturation, and Hydrocarbon Saturation. During petrophysical interpretation different cross plots were constructed like porosity, volume of shale, Hydrocarbon saturation, Water Saturation against depth interval which shows the behavior of the reservoir which is key interest zone. The reservoir quality of the Chorgali Formation was much better in terms of porosity, water saturation and permeability. | en_US |
