| dc.description.abstract | The basic purpose of studying the organization (National Highway Authority) is to learn practical implications of theoretical concepts of Human Resource Management, which will enhance our capabilities and will be helpful to overcome the future challenges in more competitive and energetic way. This study will explore the various HR functions of the organization and make us understand the interrelationships among the human resource functions and their environment. It helps us to know the decision making style of HRM functions that will enhance the competitive advantages, strength of the HRM Department and short-falls/ weaknesses of the HRM department. How the organizations assist and motivate their employees in achieving their personal goals and how these goals enhance the individual's contribution to the organization. How the organizations maintained, retained and motivate their employees to get the maximum output, performance and satisfaction. Effective HRM matches and develops the abilities of job candidates and employees with the needs of the firm. A responsive personnel system helps to manage this process and is a key ingredient for organizational performance. It is apprehended that NHA have the potential to become an ideal organization, if it continue to improve the HR practices with more pace so as to carry the personnel department to a very beneficial and respectable outlook. Presently there is a need of proper strategy and vision regarding HR Functions in NHA because all activities in regard to human resource are performed with lack of planning and coordination. Real practice of Job description must be ensured (capacity building measures), which is prerequisite for all activities of Human Resource Management. Quality of personnel output should always be monitored on regular basis. A proper labor officer must be engaged for the betterment/welfare of employee. Must plan to anticipate changes for future dynamic environment. | en_US |
