dc.description.abstract Today business world has realized that the investing in people is the most profitable deal for success. Due to increase in competition worldwide, a tremendous demand of HRD arises. HRD conceptualize as an integrated set of tasks that are inculcated in the organizational systems in order to enhance the abilities and expertise of the workforce in long run. The basic focus of the study is to evaluate the impact of HRD Functions on Employee Performance. The sample selected for analysis is of banking area that is Allied Bank Limited. Questionnaires are designed to calculate the effect of Performance Appraisal, Training and Employee Empowerment on employee performance. The purpose is to analyze HRD functions and its impact on overall performance of employees as employee performance is loosely linked with HRD functions. In the end, suitable recommendations are suggested to implement research to enhance the employee performance of ABL because it would lead ABL to gain competitive edge over the rest of banks in the banking sector. Moreover, the study concluded with a fact that HRD is a phenomenon which needs to be properly implemented in the organizations of Pakistan for the economic growth in future. en_US
