dc.description.abstract The present research is about the impact of training and career development practices on the job satisfaction of employees. The research targets one of the major telecom organization i.e. Mobilink to get an accurate perspective on the research topic. The aim of the research was to find out the training and career development practices followed in Mobilink and their impact on employee satisfaction. Training is considered a very important HR activity in any organization. Analyzing training and the ways in which it contributes to change in bank employee behaviour is significantly important for gaining better understanding about factors like Absenteeism, Turnover, Organizational Citizenship Behavior, Commitment and Motivation. In today’s world it is the responsibility of both, individual and organizations to plan and manage the career development of their staff, in order, to retain their key employees.To conduct research primary data is collected through questionnaire filled by employees in the organization. A questionnaire was also prepared and was filled by altogether two hundred employees of different departments of the organization. The questionnaires have been analyzed in the research on the basis of the data collected through them. The conclusion of the study has been drawn and some recommendations have been suggested at the end of the project. Results showed that training practices and employee satisfaction are positively related. The framework focuses on certain dimensions of training and career development. Training dimensions include in-house training and public training programs, whereas, career development includes promotion and rotation. Career development at Mobilink through job rotations, promotions and talent management programs has a significant impact of job satisfaction as compared to training practices. en_US
