| dc.description.abstract | Women ratio in workforce has significantly increased in last two decades. But the priorities for women never changed, they want perfect balance between work and life. Whenever woman feels imbalance they prefer their families over work. That is the reason unfortunately significant percentage of women voluntarily leaves workforce after marriages or birth of child if they don’t leave they chose jobs that are less demanding in order to facilitate their household responsibilities. Choosing such a job ultimately affects their career growth. Spouse support is very essential for development of women careers, but unfortunately most of the spouse is not supportive. However if spouse had been more supportive with respect to adjusting career demands of women the problems may not occur. The ultimate effect is on organization having greater percentage of women employees. Every now and then they lose a competent employee. Solution to the problem lies with organizations; they can play a vital role to negate the affects of family influence through their policies and facilities. Thesis demonstrates the association of parental responsibilities and spouse support on women career and probable solution to the problem. | en_US |
