Abstract:
In this project report, we have tried our best to show how the drug store retailers try to create profitable relations with blood glucose monitor systems manufacturing companies. Our project is focused on how this relationship influences the sales and profitability level of both the parties. We have taken only considered the Rawalpindi and Islamabad markets for our research. Chapter 1 gives an introduction about what blood glucose monitors are and what is diabetes. We have given the objectives, research methodology and limitations of our study in this chapter. Chapter 2 comprises of the literature review. Chapter 3 focuses on the past and current state of the Pakistani and global pharmaceutical markets. Chapter 4 gives an overview about the major companies which are manufacturing the blood glucose monitors in Pakistan. Chapter 5 comprises of data analysis of the information we gathered, analysis of the brands and retailers, and the issues that we have identified through our research. In Chapter 6, we have given various options through which the identified issues can be resolved. In Chapter 7, we have given recommendations to retailers about how they can maintain their relations with manufacturers. In Chapter 8, an action plan is made which shows what practical steps the manufacturer and retailer should take to improve and maintain their relationship.
