Abstract:
The DEFRA (Department for Environment, food and rural affairs) Climate Change Plan 2010 and Climate Change report 2009 explain the changes in weather patterns of the world in the coming years. The Climate Change report studies variations in the temperatures, water levels and measures being take by the government in overcoming the issue of global warming. World temperature in summers are predictable to rise C especially. C in south of England by 2080’s.This increase in temperatures could reduce average rainfall by 22% in summers in the south east and 16% decrease in rainfalls in winters in the North West by 2080’s (DEFRA, 20. c while the sea level has risen by 1 mm per year (DEFRA, 2010). Defra Report explains what initiatives taken by the United Kingdom Government in plummeting carbon emanations concluded its sustainability policy. The Government along with other stakeholders such as individuals and institutions would implement a plan for reduction in CO2 emissions by 20% in 2010 and this would further be curtailed in the coming years by 28% and 34% respectively.
