dc.description.abstract The intention of this study is to determine the effect of employee training on the performance of an organization. The aspects of employee training are on the job training and training design. The research study supports the argument of (Khan, 2011) that the on the job training and training design has significant effects on the performance of the organization. The research study was based on quantitative research technique. Three hypotheses are developed through the literature review and tested in this research. The questionnaires were distributed in branches of eight different private and public banks of Islamabad and Rawalpindi for collection of data. The measures for analysis are on the Job Training, Training design and Organizational Performance. Correlation and regression tests are used for research studies in order to analyze the relationship among independent and dependent variables. The finding of the research shows that the employee training is very important tool for improving the organization performance. The researcher also gave some recommendation for making the training programs more effective. en_US
