dc.description.abstract Virtual Hospital is a remote patient monitoring system which consists of two separate units, one with all the medical equipment plus a camera for health worker and the second one is a computer with a custom built application operated as Admin which have administrative rights. The user side operates on a JAVA based custom built application, which has multiple health worker accounts, the data is saved in an offline database if the internet is not available.When internet isavailable the data is saved in online MySQL database whose interface is developed in HTML/PHP. Online interface is accessible by both the ends but administrative rights are with admin ends.Where as the user have limited rights to create and check patients. The equipment’s are connected through National Instruments LabView and the interfacing is made possible by NI-Interface. If there is a need of a supervisor then the patient can be monitored through a mobile location by an expert. Physical appearience of the patient can be observed through a camera. The overall system is capable of keeping the connection through Wifi. en_US
