dc.description.abstract The aim of this project is to compare ATM and MPLS networks from quality of services point of view. Now a days, network companies use Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) or Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) as a backbone network. There is a great debate between these two technologies about their quality of services issues. These two technologies have been designed in OPNET Simulator software. Routers, switches and other hardware devices are used to implement these kinds of technologies. This project is comparing both these technologies according to Delay, Bandwidth, Speed, Packet loss and Reliability. On the basis of their results which technology will the best suitable for future requirements. We will also try to give suggestion to improve the quality of these two technologies. en_US
