Multi-Platform Contacts Manager

Abstract

The aim of this project is to design a Multi-Platform Contact Manager, which consist of Android, IOS, Windows Phone and a Web Application. It allows the user to transfer the phone contacts from one mobile platform to another. It also creates and manages the backup of all the contacts on server. The basic idea of this project is to make the phone contacts available for all mobile platforms at any time. Multi-Platform Contact Manager has three mobile applications and a web application at client end. These applications are connected to a single server at backend. User can Export his phone contacts to server using mobile application and access them on same or mobile of the other mobile platform. Web application also allows the users to access the contacts from server. This application helps the user to maintain all his contacts at a single place in a single format so whenever the user shift to another mobile platform he can simply import his contacts to phone. In case of mobile or SIM loss, user can recover contacts from backup on the server. Apart from that, the Web Application allows the user to add the new contacts, edit and delete the existing contacts online. This project serves in products for different platform to target the maximum smartphone users and reducing the heterogeneity between different mobile platforms. We have learned how to work in cross platform environment and integrate them according to our needs. This project is based on idea of multi-platform smartphone data transfer we can enhance it in terms of different kind of data transfer other than the contacts like files, apps, calendar, notes and messages.
