The aim of this Research is to explore the women Empowerment & manage work life conflicts
and fill this gap through strategies, when they perform dual responsibility of work and family.
This paper examines that how empowerment of women towards career advancement effect on
work and family two domains. In Pakistani cultural mostly men are bread earner of the family
but due to changing cultural, social and Economic factors women’s are participating in various
sectors of the economy.Women’sare approaching towards advance career but another hand they
have to face work-life conflicts which effecting their performance. Work life conflicts is an
emerging issue not in Pakistan but it is also becoming an international issue. The Changing
cultural and social factors are effecting on work and family lives and it is not reported in
research. In order to find how professional women manage their time, priority, relation, roles,
career, family, work and individual self to make a positive balance between them. The purpose
of this research is to find gap which effecting them towards career advancement, define
strategies for women especially for women in banking sector to manage their career family
balance.
Design/methodology/approach:
A Quantitative Methodology use to collect data. Data collected from women’s those who are
working in different managerial level position in banking sector. 387 Questionnaire were
collected andanalyze the factors which effecting women Empowerment and work life conflicts
and interpret the results through SPSS.
Findings:
The study show that multiple factors effecting women Empowerment as the approach towards
advance career. But most important factor which inspire them towards advance career are
working Environment and Flexible Working hours. These two important factors very important
for women to manage their professional & personnel life. Working Environment give more
autonomy, Decision making authority, fairness & equality and Flexible working environment are
motivating factor towards empowerment.
Practical Implication:
This research will help full for organization to make future policies where they can promote
women Empowerment and strategies to balance work family conflicts. |
