| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation holds the study of interpretation of 2D seismic data of the concerned seismic lines of Khushalgarh area in KohatBasin. The purpose of 2D seismic interpretation of Khushalgarh is to evaluate the area to estimate the potential for discovery of hydrocarbons. The location of the well is between 33° 30' 48.00" N and 72° 02' 37.00"E.The data issued included seismic lines, base map, navigation files, well tops and logs of the Jalwal-01. Reflector and faults were marked on the seismic lines and contours have been made which confirms the thrusted anticlinal structures marked on seismic lines. Afterwards petrophysical analysisis done for evaluating hydrocarbon potentialwith the determination of quantities like average porosity, effective porosity, and saturation of hydrocarbons etc.Taking the values from provided log the result is calculated for fluid saturation but due to very high saturation of water the well status is dry. | en_US |
