| dc.description.abstract | The objectives of the study were to evaluate reservoir properties of Lower Goru Formation using well log data. My study area is located in Northern Sindh Province and is bounded on North by Shikarpur and Sukkur, on East by India, on South by Sanghar and Nawabshah and on West by Larkana and Naushahro Feroz. The methodology adopted for the research work is: Petrophysical analysis to evaluate reservoir properties which includes raw log curves, calculation of volume of shale, neutron, density and sonic porosity, resistivity of water and finally, water and hydrocarbon saturation. Petrophysical results claim that there are one pay zone each present in Lower Goru formation in Kandanwari 10 and 11. In Kandanwari 11 Zone 1 ranges from 3275m to 3297m. Similarly in Kandanwari 10 Zone 1 ranges from 3327.5m to 3342.5 m. Petrophysical results reveal that zone marked in both wells have fair to good hydrocarbon potential due to good effective porosity and hydrocarbon saturation. | en_US |
