dc.description.abstract | GarBot is a small scale version of many intelligent robots being used in science and industrial feild The CarBot has vision capability which helps it to identie different colors, it can sense obstacles in front of it and has the capability of receiving commands from a user and perform accordingly. It communicates with the user through a standard serial port using the RS-232 protocol. The interface is user friendly and has control buttons for CarBot movement and vision.GP2D12 Infrared sensor is used to detect obstacles at front, analyze their distance and take qwessary actions to avoid them. CarBot's brain is its microcontroller. Microchip PIC 16F877 I dicrcontroller was chosen for its two Pulse Width Modulation channels, serial communication wpability, ADC capability and ease of usage. | en_US |
