dc.description.abstract As technology advances, more and more household devices are becoming digital i and the use of micr~processorsis becoming common. All devices ranging from mobiles to miemavles are using microprocessors for an easy interface and improved functionality. Along with that, more and more electronic devices are using sensors to monitor their surroundings and react accordingly, resulting in efficient use of energy and better performance. This project was also inspired by these trends. The objective of the project is to monitor and display temperature by using a temperature sensor as well as using li~hste nsors to be able to conserve energy. The application of such sensors to monitor and control temperature and energy consumption are found through out industries like engineering, networking, steel production, security etc. en_US
