dc.description.abstract The aim of the project is to provide efficient transportation or journey and minimizing the road accidents. In this project vehicles communicate with each other through Ad-Hoc network, ad-hoc network is introduced for inter vehicular communication and for communication between vehicles and infrastructure (base unit or server). This project works by initiating the message transferring through vehicle to vehicle for the coming road scenarios or incidents on the route. For example, predefined messages are added for the drivers, these messages include the frequently used messages like road accident ahead, traffic jam on the route, slippery road due to rain, and snow fall. These messages help the drivers who are following the first driver by being improvised and timely informed of what is coming ahead so that they can be prepared for it. Secondly, an accident sensor is installed in the front bumper of the vehicle so that in case of an accident an automatic message is generated and is delivered to the following vehicles and road side unit which further deliver it to the server that accident occurred including the road side unit number so that emergency units can be informed in time, decreasing the chance of life loss in case of fatal accidents. The best feature that is introduced to this system recently is the accident prevention system that helps to decrease the number of accidents on the road. For accident prevention system, an ultrasonic sensor is installed to the vehicle, it takes data from the sensor and send it to the microcontroller sensing the distance. In case of an obstacle is coming in the way of vehicle, and if it is fatal for an accident to happen it generates a beeping sound for the driver to be alarmed and apply brake and in case of no action by the driver the system will apply automatic brake to the vehicle so that it can prevent the collision helping to save the lives of passengers and other financial losses. en_US
