dc.description.abstract | “Home Automation” is a system or technique of controlling home appliances using an electronic device to reduce human effort to a minimum. This project presents a design in which home appliances are monitored and controlled using an android application based on “Raspberry Pi”. This system is using the WIFI-technology, which is indeed most suitable wireless communication, to communicate and connect system components. The “Home Automation” system mainly consists of two parts; the first part is “Raspberry Pi” with relay circuitry that controls and switches the desired action of user, and the second part is android application. We had proposed a design which is an intelligent system for the android cell phones that lets the user to connect with the “Raspberry Pi”. The “Raspberry Pi” server will be interfaced with the relay circuitry that controls all the electronic appliances of the building. The communication with “Raspberry Pi” tends the user to select the desired application. The server, that is, “Raspberry Pi”, communicates with the corresponding relay with each appliance, and for each one, there is a relay connected. By this project we offer a suitable, flexible and low cost “Home Automation” system. | en_US |
