dc.description.abstract This thesis demonstrates about the development of bit synchronizer. A bit synchronizer is developed which would receive PCM data on input lines, synchronizes the bit stream as 10Mbps in bit synchronizer and transmit the data. A bit synchronizer is utilized to synchronize the bits received after passing through some channel which bends / distorts the actual transmitted data. At the point where data is transmitted over a remote channel, an RF receiver is utilize to remove the carrier from the binary words transmitted. The output from the carrier demodulator is a sequence of bit waveforms distorted by the channel and contaminated by noise. The data is useless until a bit synchronizer is used to make decisions. The bit synchronizer performs the synchronization in three states that are presence of valid signal, processing the valid signal and then detecting loss of signals. The next step is to store the data from the bit synchronizer to the storage element. For this purpose storage element is programmed on the EasyPIC v7 development board with PIC18F45K22 as its microcontroller. The microcontroller stores the data on both SD card and Compact Flash using their respective board using the RS232. en_US
