| dc.description.abstract | Students can learn variety of skills through game-based learning, which upgrade their critical thinking and innovativeness. Developing games keeping in mind the end goal to help students to learn easily is a challenging task. This project is about designing a game based learning environment for logic building. Most of the students take in the concepts effectively but learning logic is difficult. Successful learning comes through practice. Logic can be built using puzzle games, making learning much more effective. Good understanding leads to productive learning however effective learning comes by means of practice including games. The project comprises of two puzzle games. The first puzzle game ‘Finding Fake Coin’ applies Divide and Conquer algorithmic technique and helps students to understand the logic of the underlying algorithm. The second puzzle game developed ‘N Queens’ applies Backtracking technique and helps students understand logic of the algorithm. The gaming environment will not just be a source of motivation and fun but it will likewise help the students to learn the algorithmic procedures clearly. | en_US |
