dc.description.abstract The purpose of this thesis is to perfom 2D seismic interpretation and rock physics in the Pindori area, Upper Indus Basin, Pakistan. Pindori is situated in Jhelum District, Punjab, Pakistan. The data issued form DGPC consisted of six seismic lines (S88-04, S88-06, S88-07, S88-08, S88-12, S88-34), navigation files and well tops of the Pindori-1. Three reflectors were marked on the seismic lines which represent Chorgali Formation, Sakesar Formation and Lockhart Formation respectively. The structure present in the Pindori area is a popup anticline bounded by major and back thrusts, dipping in the SW-NE direction respectively. Rock physics was also performed on the seismic line (S88-08) on which Pindori-1 is present, which confirmed the presence of fluid in the concerned area due to the anomalous behavior shown by the elastic modulus. en_US
