Abstract

This report describes the design and development of the A lPS Online Directory System. A lPS i.s the abbreviation of American Institute of Pakistan Studies, a bi-national research inst itute that was established in 1973. Every year /\IPS sponsors 15-20 Ameri cans for di tTerent research proj ects in Pakistan. In order to keep track of all the applications applied tor research proposal and the current research act iv ities. A lPS is intended to develop an Online Directory. This appli cation basica lly has three main modules • Appli cation Builder • Scholar In formation Builder • Admin Interface Application Builder receives research applications online Se lec ted scholars arc assigned login name and pasS\\ ord and they use Scholar Informat ion Builder to submit research detai ls. Admin inter face is for Management and fully password protected. It provides the complete authority to the administrator over all the applications.
