Abstract:
This report is intended to give an overview of the project that I intended to undertake.
The study has been conducted to design online hotel reservation system. This appli cation
basically has two main modules.
1. Administration Module.
2. Customer Module.
The administration part is the main part of the system and is for multiple hot els. Any
hotel can use the system. The hotels have facility to register their hotel over this search
engine and then they will be provided a module to update or modify the information of
their hotel. Online hotel reservation system gathers the information from hotels in a
standardized fonnat.
The customer module helps users to reserve the rooms in a hotel from anywhere in the
world through web. The users can find a hotel for his desired requirement through a
comprehensive search facility.
Infonnation about different hotels is kept in a system. This information includes type ol'
hotel (5 star, 4 star, guesthouse etc.), facilities (swimming pool, health club, tenni s etc.),
number of different types of rooms available and their standard rates. All this information
is stored in a database and the hotels have the facilit ies to update or modify the
information of their hotel. Any user can reserve the rooms in a hotel from any place in the
world through web.
The reason for choosing this as final project is to provide a secure link between cli ents
and the hotels in a modern way, despite of the distance between them.
