Financial Accounting System

Abstract

this document presents the detailed description of a real life project of Financial Accounting System that I also undertook as my M.Sc final year project. 7he .system is custom built for a Company producing Chemicals and the Dynamite for Pakistan Ordnance Factories, Wah Cantt. Functional d,·,;omposition and modeling are the techniques employed throughout the system development l~fe cycle including the study and modeling of various processes (?lthe industry and the analysis qlthe user requirements. Jhis project also served as a learning experience for me as I could experience new development tools Oracle8 and Developer6 for the interface design. /he logical and the physical design were done using a case Erwin. I he basic objective of this .\ystem is to automate the accounting cycle. And to make the l(le of the people ea.sy silting in the account. And to encourage the use of the computer to those people who consider it useless for themselves. r.:;s project is a reall(le and is implemen{ed in the Accounts Department of the company, working succes~·lidly, jit(filling all their needs.
