| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation support the study of 2D seismic data interpretation of concerned seismic lines and petrophysical analysis of Ratana well 03, in the Upper Indus Basin, Pakistan. Ratana is located in Pindighep Tehsil, which is one of the Tehsils of Attock District Punjab, Pakistan. Logs issued from DGPC consisted of GR log, Resistivity, SP and Sonic log. Four reflectors were marked (yellow, red, green and blue) which represent Chorgali Formation, Sakesar Formation, Lockhart Formation and Datta Formation respectively. Reflectors were marked by utilizing well top data after that converting the time into depth with the help of average velocity. Afterwards petrophysical analysis was done for determination of quantities like average porosity, effective porosity, saturation of hydrocarbons and saturation of water etc. Sakesar Formation is considered as potential reservoir in the area. Pop-up anticlinal structures were observed from time and depth surfaces of all the four marked formations. The reflectors marked were of early Eocene, early Paleocene and Jurassic age respectively | en_US |
