| dc.description.abstract | The present study was conducted to reveal the subsurface geology of Joyamair area by the interpretation of seismic sections and to estimate the hydrocarbon saturation using petrophysical techniques. The horizons were marked with the help of provided well information (Joyamair-04). The interpreted faults on each seismic section indicate the area belongs to compressional regime. Interpretation was performed on 93-MN-02, 93-MN-04, 93-MN-05, 93-MN-06 and 93-MN-11 seismic lines. Dip lines consisted of 93-MN-02, 93-MN-04, 93-MN-05, 93-MN-06 and the trend was Northwest. 93-MN-11 was the strike line and its trend is approximately in East. Information was given in time domain (milliseconds) so depth was calculated. The interpreted three horizons were correlated with formation tops of Chorgali Formation, Sakesar Limestone and Khewra Sandstone. Contour maps were also generated which show the structure and gave the idea about tectonics of entire study area. With the help of well logs, saturation of hydrocarbon was determined in the zone of interest. ii | en_US |
