Bank Lending to the Public and Private Business Sectors in Pakistan

Abstract

This research has been conducted by Fahad Shah, student of BBA VI, under the supervision of Mr. Aurangzeb Khan , senior permanent faculty member , department of Finance, Bahria University of Management and Computer Sciences Islamabad . The chosen topic for the research is "Bank Lending to public and private business sectors of Pakistan". This research has been conducted as a partial requirement for the degree of Business Administration at Bahria University of Management and computer Sciences Islamabad. The problem amounts of under funds discussion is the provided to the comparison public and of the private business sectors in the last five fiscal years in order to analyze the shift in the flow of funds between the two sectors. Data was acquired from the annual reports of State Bank of Pakistan. A trend analysis was conducted to see t he shift and growth in various industries from public and private sectors taking the FY 1999 as the base year. The researcher based on a careful analysis makes a few recommendations in the end.
