dc.description.abstract Occupational health and safety in any organization have great importance in the employees work environment because now a day’s human resource is considered to be the most valuable assets of an organization as they work efficiently and effectively to increase the productivity of any organization. The issues related to occupational health and safety badly influence the performance of employees, organization’s productivity and result in absenteeism & punctuality issues. The study was to identify the effects of occupational health and safety on job performance of the employees’ i.e. how health hazards at occupational environment affect the employee job performance. Employees at work environment are exposed to many of the health and safety hazards. In this study the policies regarding occupational health and safety, health hazards associated with the job environment, employer’s responsibility for having good occupational health and safety measures are discussed. The research study is of cause and effect and co relational study. In this we have to find the cause and effect relation of the two variables. Specifically the questions were designed for this study both open ended and close ended. A total of 50 copies were distributed among the respondents of Johnson and Johnson and will duly be collected. Purpose of the study is to know the effects of occupational health and safety on job performance, the Availability of health and safety measures at workplace and how health hazards reduce job performance of the employees. The information gathered through the research instruments will be targeted in both qualitative and quantitative manners. The information had thoroughly analyzed and then careful interpretation will be made. This study proves that Occupational health and safety issues negatively influence the performance of the employees; hence the stress increases, profitability decreases and punctuality of the workers also get affected. Laborers build up a negative state of mind and low confidence towards work. High episodes of mishaps at work additionally happen. The Implication of this study for management, is should focus on the trainings, compensation policies against claims and have to reduce the stress factors from the employees so that they become more productive. en_US
