Evaluating Determinant of E_-Procurement that Aid in Supply Chain Performance : Case of Pharmaceutical Sector

Abstract

Today, in the presence of highly competitive business environment the processes of electronic procurement play a very important role in any organization. Electronic procurement is very helpful for determining the actual performance of supply chain within current system of organization. In order to maintain good collaboration within firms, it is vital that information flow be effective. To have a responsive supply chain, information sharing is highly important. There may be troubles in inventory management if information flow is not accurate and effective. Managing inventory in such a case is not easy since many organizations are in competition with each other and thus no one is willing to give away their company information. Thus, sales data should be available in the inventory. The model of supply chain management is not new for well-known organization to effectively manage and control various processes of goods and services in market.Primary data source is used for data collection and limit of sample size is not more than 153 working employees in different pharmaceutical companies. SPSS software is used for data analysis. Today, the process of supply chain management is considered as a stem to show actual reality in the form of end customers’ satisfaction and run supply chain management system effectively and efficiently in nature. The quality of electronic procurement can only be improved through continuous improvements by using training, auditing, monitoring, controlling and many other relevant activities performed in the form of program enhancements.
