dc.description.abstract The whole project is based upon the concept of mental structure of human mind. It supports the idea that people makes a decision on the basis of if else conditions; to reach a conclusion the mind goes through a long chain of inference rules and consults the data that a person holds in the brain. More data means more response time, and more complex inference rules means more precise that conclusion will be about a solution to the problem. In this project I have taken the problem of differential diagnosis carried out by clinical examination. I found that Prolog language will be best since it is relatively easy and the user interface is command line based. The command line is important because it will enforce the user to keenly look at the problems and answer the questions with undivided attention. en_US
