dc.description.abstract Mass Media is important negotiator and cause to convey information to the public in different parts of the world. The role of media is considered as a bridge between the mass media and the public. Media plays a pivotal role in developing the positive or negative image in the mind of the public. The religious scholars use mass media to gain popularity about the certain religious issues, whether in the positive or negative manner. In current situation, the media is first who spoken to the public and passed the message to the common people. (Iyengar, 1993) The media is an active member in keeping with the demand of today’s world. Electronic media as well as print media has immense control on the formation of the perception in peoples mind. According to the agenda setting theory, some issues are highlighted the most whereas some issues are highlighted and given a least coverage. (Mc Combs and Shew, 1972).Its media responsibility to be sensitive towards presenting the issues to the public. The role of media for the public is political, social, and religious. en_US
